Rochester Peach variety now harvested 29th Aug 2015

Well there were only 2 peaches on this ‘Rochester’ variety peach tree. I have been watching them for months now, they are my little babies. They have reached there peak, so I have had gather them in, and do the taste test.

We were not disappointed, my wife and shared one each. They were large about 80mm dia, yellow skinned with a slight red shading. The juices obviously showed they were at there peak of ripeness, and the sugary peach flavour was outstanding.
