Pear (Pyrus domestica) Charneux
Syn: Delicious from Charneu (x), mayor’s pear, Graßhoff’s delicacies. It has fine, juicy, yellowish-white tender flesh with a sweet aroma.
A very good desset pear, ripening late October/November. It is not self pollinating, so it needs another pear for pollination.


Pear (Pyrus domestica) Margerita Marillat
This is probably the same the variety called ‘Kieffer’, or at least its got some of its DNA in it.
It grows very fast and the fruit can be very large. Fruits are mottled green on a yellow background very similar to Kieffer.
The flesh texture is hard and sandy, but it is white,very juicy and tasty. It is harvested end October/November.


Asian Pear (Pyrus pyrifolia) Raja
This is a relatively new variety, with skin that is golden brown. Its flesh is very sweet and a very favourable flavour. It is very juicey, that drips when you bite into it.
It produces large crops that are disease resistant, and cold hardy.


Asian Pear (Pyrus pyrifolia) Kam Cheon
A more modern variety from South Korea, released in 1990.
The fruit are harvested in October and they can be quite heavy. The flesh is white and juicy and quite sweet. It is very disease resistant.
