Japanese Plum ‘Shiro’ finally all harvested 19th Aug 2015
A relatively long ripening period form the first to the last. This could be due to the position of the tree being in partial shade. You can buy these fruit in the supermarkets, but I have never really sought them out. But in growing them yourself and eating them fresh they are certainly exceeding my expectations. Very juicy and large and sweet tasting. Be careful when they are fully ripe as the amount of juice can get everywhere when you bite into it.
These are available to purchase as bare rooted trees at http://www.gb-online.co.uk/prestashop/product.php?id_product=644
