Originated in the Czech Republic, being a cross of (Kordia x Vic). It flowers medium early and it is resistant to brown rot (Monilinia laxa) The fruits are dark red, oblong, heart shaped, very firm, juicy and sweet. Also benefits from its resistance to cracking, due to erratic watering.

Originally breed in the UK, it has large deep red fruits, sweet and full of juice. Can be picked earlier. Very good disease resistance.

Sometimes called Bigarreau Napoleon or Kent Nap an old tradional variety. A yellowish skinned cherry with a red blush on the sunny side. Sweet & Juicy.


A cooking variety with the skin being dark red of globular shape, flesh being dark red, soft, juicy, sweet and sour, aromatic. Self-pollinating. Developed in Russia (‘Lyubskaja’ x ‘Vladimirinė’). Resistant to fungus infections.

Introduced by the University of Minnesota in 1950’s. It is a cooking variety, producing round cherries. Its fruit is shiny, dark, red skinned with deep, red flesh. North Star Cherries are self fertile and are very cold hardy. An additional pollinator will increase the crop size.

Excellent dessert cherry, dark red and sweet. with good frost tolerance particularly suitable for colder more exposed locations.
