Rabbit ring fence around orchard – missed a bit

I thought I had managed to ring fence my orchard against rabbits. But I was always a bit suspicious when the odd shoot of an apple tree was nipped off or a bit of bark was missing. I started thinking that mice were to blame.

Well out came my video camera, and this is what I got. I has missed a bit of the ring fence, under the shed. Only a small gap thou. So now that gap is blocked up with concrete blocks, with a 20cms gap, sufficient for my cage trap. After putting it in place I have caught 2 rabbits.

I have not managed a video of the rabbit entering the orchard, only leaving it, like Houdini.
