Schattenmorelle is a cooking cherry variety with bright red fruit. The flesh is red, sour, not very sweet, and very juicy. Freestone.
It is a self-fertile variety that needs no pollination partner. It crops reliably every year, bearing plentiful of fruit at the ends of partly weeping branches.
