Summer chip budding

Just what do you do with any winter grafted rootstocks that have failed. Well you can either do T budding or chip budding. Either way you need bud sticks that have plump buds in the leaf axials. Then away you go. I will not go to deeply into it as there are many demos online.

Chip wrapped in grafting tape, bud covered lightly with only one layer, to stop it drying out. The top and bottom need tape applying tightly.
