Pigeon Damage to Fruit Tree’s

This is the first time that I can remember that we have had pigeon damage to the new shoots of our fruit trees. Some of the branches have also snapped, under the weight.

I have seen the pests, in our back garden sitting on the high branches of next doors plum tree pecking away. They have also been noticed in the canopy of a red beech tree.

They even sit on the branch tops, and with their heavy weight make the thin branches snap.
