{"id":654,"date":"2013-05-21T19:44:16","date_gmt":"2013-05-21T19:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/?p=654"},"modified":"2022-09-08T15:16:39","modified_gmt":"2022-09-08T15:16:39","slug":"callusing-temperatures-of-fruit-and-nut-trees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/callusing-temperatures-of-fruit-and-nut-trees\/","title":{"rendered":"Callusing temperatures of Fruit and Nut trees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many people ask me what are optimum callusing temperatures to ensure a good percentage of viable grafts.<\/p>\n<p>Nectarines\/Peaches &#8211; 18-26 deg C<br \/>\nApricots\/Cherries &#8211; 20 deg C<br \/>\nPlums &#8211; 16 deg C<br \/>\nApples\/Pears &#8211; 13-18 deg C<br \/>\nWalnuts &#8211; 27 deg C<br \/>\nGrapes &#8211; 21-24 deg C<br \/>\nOlive &#8211; 25-35 deg C<br \/>\nSpruce &#8211; 20-25 deg C<br \/>\nMaples, Pines, and Fir &#8211; 21 deg C<\/p>\n<p>Do not forget tissue damage for most temperate fruit will occur at temperatures over 30 deg C.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures either side of the optimum will also work, but the percentage take will be reduced.
