This sort of graft we have performed a number of times with apples, but we have not done it with cherries.<\/p>\n

The grafts were all ‘side’ graft. In other words a knife cut was made into the side of the rootstock, with the scion cut of both sides, to match the shape of the cut on rootstock.<\/p>\n

It is best to work from the top most scion downwards, as its easier to cover with grafting tape.<\/p>\n

The top and bottom grafts can be seen to have taken, with the grafting tape splitting. The middle graft is a little behind.<\/p>\n
