I did a slight squeeze test, and it felt very soft.<\/p>\n<p>A gamble &#8211; do I try and eat it, or do I leave. The better came of me and I <span data-dobid=\"hdw\">decided<\/span> a bite was necessary for scientific purposes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/20220628_153804-scaled.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2376\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/20220628_153804-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/20220628_153804-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/20220628_153804-scaled-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/20220628_153804-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/20220628_153804-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/20220628_153804-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.gb-online.co.uk\/gb-wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/20220628_153804-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>It was soft, and juicy and very sweet. A bit on the small side, but then again is was grown in a relatively small pot. Probably wanted some of the fruit thinning, as there is a lot of them. There was no June drop, and it seemed a shame to knock off some of the fruitlets. Even thou I could not find any red spiders, with my magnifying jewelers glasses (loupe), and there was not spider webbing in evidence. Spraying was an insurance policy.<\/p>\n<p>Aceptamprid is a <span class=\"ILfuVd\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hgKElc\">systemic and contact action <\/span><\/span>insecticide that is used to control sucking and chewing pests on leafy vegetables, fruiting vegetables, citrus fruits, pome fruits, grapes, cotton and ornamental plants and flowers.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of pests con trolled &#8211; Aphids; Thrips; Mirids; Spider mites; Whiteflies; European pine sawflies; Leaf miners; Leaf hoppers; Vine weevil; Ants.<\/p>\n<p>The Seaweed fertilizer used was an Organic 100% Hebridean Liquid Seaweed Fertiliser &amp; Plant Food, at a rate of 50ml of liquid seaweed per litre of water.<\/p>\n<p>An extract from a <a href=\"https:\/\/artsandculture.google.com\/story\/why-the-shimizu-hakuto-peach-is-the-queen-of-the-fruit-kingdom-ministry-of-agriculture-forestry-and-fisheries\/WAWRT-UbglE7KA?hl=en\">Japanese website<\/a> states the following.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"FTWLZb\"><span style=\"color: #1589ff;\">Why The Shimizu Hakuto Peach Is The Queen of the Fruit Kingdom<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2 class=\"FEyUjd\"><span style=\"color: #1589ff;\">The juicy, sweet and delicately soft Shimizu Hakuto (\u2018white peach\u2019) reigns supreme in the Japanese fruit world.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1589ff;\">The Shimizu Hakuto: the delicious result of over 100 years of peach-growing endeavor.
