If the weather keeps up, and we have warm rain, it is looking like its going to be good year for Peaches, Almonds and Apricots.<\/p>\n

These are just a few of the varieties that we grow in an open field, subject to the freezing winters and scorching hot summers (sometimes).<\/p>\n

MOORPARK – APRICOT\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

VIKTORS – PEACH<\/p>\n

New in 2004. Latvia registered variety. Fruits are large and round, yellow flesh with red skin. Juicy, very tasty. Harvest \u2013 July beginning of August. It is very fertile. It is recommended to thin the number of fruit buds in order maximize fruit size.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

CARMINGO\u00ae FARCLO – APRICOT<\/p>\n

A new selection of apricot trees, the result of the work of French scientists. The crop can be harvested in the third year. Grows strong, with a huge crown, is of interest in super late ripening periods. Fruits are ready for harvest at the end of September. Crispy fruit flesh meaty, moderate juiciness, sweet and honey, without acidity, looks like dried apricots. Self-fertile, after ripening, the crop is able to remain on the tree. Cold resistance allows planting these apricots in most Ukrainian orchards. Stores well after harvest. Better than average resist fungal damage.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>ALMOND – PHOEBE<\/p>\n

Self-fertile tree with good resistance to peach leaf curl. Pink orbamental flowers are followed by good quality nuts.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>SHIMIZU – PEACH (Greenhouse grown)<\/p>\n

The Shimizu was a chance discovery made in 1932 and garnering the nickname ‘the ultimate peach’ thanks to its highly regarded sweet taste and fragrance together with its soft texture, it has at times been sold for as much as 30,000 yen for a box of five.<\/p>\n


\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>These all have still got a few more weeks to ripen up (mid July for Apricots and Peaches), or to fall off. So are very eager to get to them first before the vermin, like squirrels or the birds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
