Montmorency cherries are 2 weeks earlier (7th July)\u00a0 than Morello cherries (21st July). These are cooking cherries also known as Duke cherries or sour\/acid cherries, can be used in pies etc and cocktails.<\/p>\n

The bushes are dripping with Montmorency cherries, there is just too many.<\/p>\n

Prunus cerasus is a species of Prunus native to much of Europe and southwest Asia. It is closely related to the sweet cherry, but has a fruit that is more acidic, and they have greater nutritional benefits.<\/p>\n

This is an easy way of gathering them and de piping them at the same time. The cherries have to be used straight away thou<\/p>\n
