Apple ‘Norland’ harvested today 19th Aug 2015

Its not very often I can get worked up about my ‘best’ apple varieties. Especially when there are so many at different times of the year. But this one is at the top of my list for ‘early’ eaters. Must be eaten straight off the tree, otherwise the wasps get them. The flesh is soft and juicy and quite a nice sweet taste that is not overpowering. The skin colour is almost red all over.
