A new variety to us – Apple – Pirja 23rd July 2020

A Finnish breed from 1981, which is a cross between the varieties ‘Huvitus’ and ‘Melba’. A slow-growing tree that has medium-sized, flat-round, green-yellow apples with a red to red-striped cover colour that covers almost the entire fruit. It has a white and fine flesh that is healthy, sweet and sour and aromatic. Is a dessert fruit and is eaten directly from the tree with a relatively short shelf life. Gives the best harvest in a sunny location on nutrient-rich and well-drained soil.
