Successful Plant Health inspection – to ship Plum rootstock and scions to Japan. Next step is the physical pre shipping inspection when dormant in winter time.

In the meantime got to keep an ‘intensive’ spraying regime against aphids. As aphids are a vector for a lot of plum diseases, notably plum pox virus or sharka. We are only allowed to spray for a maximum of 2 applications per year of a certain chemical, so we must use a different chemical to achieve ‘intensive control.
